How to make Tauge Tahu (Tofu) a vegan dish with lots of Protein

In the previous recipe, we home grow the tauge. This dish is vegan friendly and contains a good amount of nutrition. 100 grams of tofu/tahu is 76 calories, 8 grams of protein. Tauge in this recipe has 12.5 calories and 2 grams of protein. It is also rich in Vitamin C and B1, B6.

Preperation for cooking Tauge Tahu

It starts of with chopping garlic, as this enrich the taste of the dish and adds a lot of health benefits.

Tauge Tahu cut the tofu in cubes

Cut the tofu or tahu in cubes like in the image.

All you need to have is your tauge (or bean sprouts) ready. That was all the preperation needed.

Cooking Tauge Tahu

Start off by heating the oil. When the oil is hot enough add the Tahu (tofu). Your mission is to make it gold brown on 2 sides.

Keep stirring it to make it evenly

When the color is appearing, start adding garlic and stir slowly for 3 minutes.

When the color becomes less white of the tofu, then it’s time to add your Tauge. Stir again for a few minutes. The tauge will shrink a little bit it’s normal. After a few minutes it’s ready to be served

Ready to be served. You can eat this with rice and have a nutritional delicious and simple meal. All that in less than 20 minutes!
